Gameplay · vehicles

Three vehicles have been named. All three are bonus items.

What cars are in it?

No list · no count · no specifications · no vehicle named outside one edition page

Not known

The absence is the answer to this page’s own question, so it goes first and it goes largest.

How many cars are there?

Not a total, not a manufacturer roster, not a top speed, not a class breakdown, not a single handling figure. That absence is the whole story, because the lists filling this search result are not reporting a document. They are reporting an activity: enthusiasts pausing official footage, comparing a silhouette against vehicles from earlier games, and writing down a name.

It is skilled work and it is often right. It is still an identification, and an identification is not a confirmation — the person making the claim and the person who would have to confirm it are not the same person.

How do they drive?

Claims that vehicles consume fuel, that damage is modelled panel by panel, that handling has been rebuilt from scratch — none of these has a first-party source. They circulate, and they trace back to material this site describes but will never reproduce: the 2022 breach, and the footage posted in August 2026 whose authenticity has not been established.

A mechanic described in that material cannot be graded confirmed here, and it cannot be graded debunked either. It sits at rumoured at best, and where such a claim has no traceable origin at all it is not published here.

Can you fly?

Earlier games in the series carried aircraft, and a landscape that would suit flying is not evidence that flying is in the game. Precedent is not an announcement, and this site does not grade one as the other.

Water is a different matter, and not incidental to this setting: Rockstar’s own location pages name a tropical archipelago and a wetland expanse, and one of the named Ultimate Edition items is a boat. Outside the road vehicles in that same listing, it is the only vehicle Rockstar has named.

Known — four answers

Every one of them comes off a single document: the Ultimate Edition listing.

Which vehicles has Rockstar named?

A ’95 Grotti Cheetah, a ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, a Shitzu Squalo.

Named as examples rather than as a complete manifest. There is no canonical count of the Ultimate Edition contents, and none of these items has been described in a way that says anything about how it drives.

Is the footage real?

Captured in-game. Which is not the same as gameplay.

The footage is cinematic and carries no driving interface. A frame showing a car is evidence that an object of roughly that shape was rendered in that shot, and that is the full extent of it.

What is known about control?

DualSense haptics, adaptive triggers, 3D audio, SSD load times.

The whole of what Rockstar has said about how the game feels to control, and it is about the controller rather than about the car.

The names Rockstar has printed are in-fiction manufacturers of the kind this series has always used, so a familiar badge tells you something about the world and nothing about the car. Rockstar has not said which vehicles from earlier games return, whether a returning name means a returning model, or how many manufacturers exist in Leonida at all. A shared manufacturer name is a shared word, and that is the extent of it.

A limestone seawall we photographed running the width of the frame at midday, water on one side of it and road on the other.

Stated in first-party material, or shown in official footage. Two attributable sources where possible. Nothing reliable exists. Stated plainly rather than filled with speculation.

The next official material arrives on 27 August 2026, and Take-Two has described the arrangement behind it as an extended gameplay reveal — the closest thing to a first-party statement that the showing contains playable footage rather than another cinematic cut.

If it is narrated play, it could move a great deal on this page at once: a driving interface, a vehicle name on screen, a garage. If it is another cinematic cut, nothing here changes and the identification lists get longer while remaining exactly as unconfirmed as they are today. Either way this register is updated against what the material actually shows, not against what it is taken to imply — the same rule applied to everything else known about how the game plays.
