QWhen does GTA 6 come out?
19 November 2026
Rockstar Games named it on and has not
moved it since. Take-Two Interactive restated it to investors on
and tied a full year of revenue guidance to
it. That is the strongest form of confirmation available before a game is on sale, and it is
still not the same thing as a game on sale.
This entry exists because the question is asked more than any other, and because the answer
has changed twice. Both previous answers were also confirmed at the time, by the same
publisher, in the same channel. That is worth knowing before you plan anything around the
third — and it is why every withdrawn date is still on this page rather than deleted from it.

Not settled by it
The date covers two consoles and no computers. It says nothing about
a PC version, nothing about
any other platform, and nothing about what is in the
game on the day it arrives. A release date is a logistics fact, not a description.
If it moves again
Both previous moves were announced by Rockstar directly rather than leaking out — the
second on the same day as Take-Two's quarterly results. If there is a third, that is where
it will appear first, and it will be added to
the delay history rather than replacing what is there.
Not known
Two standing questions on this page. The largest type on it, deliberately.
01
What time does it unlock?
The day is fixed and has been restated in a regulatory filing. The hour the game becomes
playable on that day has never been stated by anyone at Rockstar or Take-Two, which is why
the counter on this site runs to the date and not to a moment.
Every countdown showing you hours to "unlock" has picked a time nobody announced, and it will
be wrong by up to a day across most of the world. What is known about launch week — including
the one time-related commitment anybody has made — is on
unlock time and pre-load.

02
Will it come to PC?
No PC version has been announced, so there is no PC date to be late. Rockstar has never named
a storefront and never published a system requirement; every figure you have read about
graphics cards was assembled by somebody reasoning backwards from a PlayStation 5.
The precedent is real and it is not a promise — it is arithmetic with no authority behind it.
It is set out in full on the PC page.

Known — four answers
Each traceable to a sentence somebody published, on a date you can check.
What can I play it on?
PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Nothing else.
These two are the only platforms named in any first-party material to date.
Firmer than at any earlier point in this game's history.
Firmer on the only evidence that counts — what the people who control the date have said
recently, on the record, in the places where saying it wrongly is expensive. Two separate
quarterly restatements, roughly three months apart, the later one after pre-orders had
already been taken. That is a different kind of statement from a marketing date: a company
expecting to move the day again does not build a full-year revenue forecast on it in front
of investors.
None of which is a guarantee, and this site will not print one. The honest position is that
the date is confirmed, that it has been moved twice before, and that both moves were
announced by Rockstar directly rather than leaking out. The reasoning, and the record of how
much warning was given each time, is on
will it be delayed again.
Anything giving a different day — a retailer placeholder, a countdown site working from an
old window, a video promising inside knowledge — is not a competing announcement, because
there has only ever been one announcement at a time.

Source and date
Confirmed
The announced platforms are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Stated in first-party material, or shown in official footage. Two attributable sources where possible. Nothing reliable exists. Stated plainly rather than filled with speculation.
The two delays that came before it
Four windows stated publicly. Three superseded, one ahead.
Every window this game has publicly had is in the record at the top of this page, because
deleting a superseded date is how a reference loses the ability to explain why the internet
disagrees with itself. "GTA VI is a 2025 game" is still repeated in articles that were
correct on the day they were written.
Superseded is not the same as debunked as a matter of authorship — each of those windows was
accurate when it was stated — but it is the same as debunked as a matter of standing, which
is why the withdrawn rows carry a line through them. Rockstar named no production problem
either time, and no first-party material has ever tied the delays to anything else. The full
sequence, with the market reaction and the claims attached to it since, is on
the delay history.
The date is graded confirmed: it comes from first-party material, it is repeated in a
regulatory filing, and the publisher has restated it twice in 2026. The unlock time and the
PC date are graded unknown, which on this site is a published answer rather than a gap
to be filled later with an estimate. This page was last checked against its sources on
, and it will be checked again after
the Extended Look on 27 August. The running
count of days left is on the countdown.
